Readings for Students of Computer Science

The teaching aid READINGS FOR STUDENTS OF COMPUTER SCIENCE is aimed at developing English reading and discussion skills for students of Mathematics and IT. It is suitable for students of intermediate to advanced level (B1-C2). The tool consists of 14 chapters containing reading, listening and speaking tasks, and activities. Reading activities are based on popular science articles and encyclopaedic entries; listening activities are based on YouTube videos. The introductory chapter is based on the general topic of education; later chapters cover the topics on various branches of mathematics, famous scientists, and IT inventions. The tasks should help to learn most professional vocabulary and ESP, and should prompt discussions on professional topics. Primarily designed as an additional tool for teaching English for Mathematics and IT, the teaching aid can also be used as a selfstudy reference and practice book.
